Mode Of Action ANTON is a broad-spectrum, dual-action, systemic product used to control a wide range of fungal diseases.

ANTON is a powerful, systemic, broad-spectrum fungicide formulated as a Suspension Concentrate (SC). It combines two distinct active ingredients to provide effective and reliable disease control.

Product Description

  • Formulation: Suspension Concentrate (SC), a liquid formulation that mixes easily with water.

  • Mode of Action (Dual): It combines two fungicides from different chemical classes, offering enhanced control and resistance management.

    • Azoxystrobin (11.0%): A Strobilurin (QoI inhibitor). It stops fungal respiration (mitochondrial electron transport), providing a protective and preventive action.

    • Tebuconazole (18.3%): A Triazole (DMI inhibitor). It disrupts the biosynthesis of ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane, providing a curative and eradicative action.

  • Movement in Plant: The product is systemic, meaning it is absorbed by the plant (leaves, stems) and translocated (moved) within the plant body to provide protection to new growth and reach fungal infections deep within the tissue.

✅ Key Benefits and Advantages

  • Broad-Spectrum Disease Control: Effectively manages a very wide range of diseases, including Powdery Mildews, Rusts, Blights, Leaf Spots, and Rots.

  • Dual Action & Resistance Management: The combination of two different modes of action helps prevent or delay the development of fungicide resistance in target pathogens.

  • Preventive and Curative Activity:

    • Preventive: Azoxystrobin forms a protective layer on the plant surface.

    • Curative: Tebuconazole can stop existing infections by eradicating the fungus inside the plant tissue.

  • Systemic Protection: Provides protection to the entire plant, including new foliage and parts not directly sprayed, ensuring long-lasting defense.

  • Phytotonic Effect: Azoxystrobin often exhibits a "greening" effect on plants, improving photosynthesis, stress tolerance, and overall plant vigor, which can lead to higher yields.

  • High Crop Safety: The SC formulation is generally known for better crop safety and efficacy compared to older formulations.

  • Improved Yield and Quality: By effectively controlling diseases, the product ensures healthy foliage, leading to better photosynthetic activity, reduced premature leaf drop, and higher-quality produce (e.g., firmer fruits, better grain filling).
